Since Oracle’s PeopleSoft new version 9.2 debuted in late March, CherryRoad, an award-winning Oracle Platinum partner, has been diligently partnering with our commercial and public sector clients helping them fully leverage the more than 1,000 new features, functions, and enhancements made available. PeopleSoft 9.2 delivers an innovative new user experience and expanded product functionality, while helping to reduce total cost of ownership. CherryRoad’s initial interfacing with Oracle’s latest version dates back even earlier to when the organization was chosen to participate in Oracle’s 9.2 Early Adopter program. The initiative, which was rolled out to a select group of partners and clients prior to the release, gave participants a first-hand opportunity to become directly involved with the new version’s testing and development phases. April 17, 2013CherryRoad Technologies presents at Collaborate 2013 Conference & Receives Award
Morris Plains, NJ – April 16, 2013 – CherryRoad Organization Readiness Practice Manager, Dr. Jeff Bailey, recently presented at the 2013 Collaborate Conference. Collaborate is a Technology and Applications forum for the Oracle community, bringing more than 5,000 users and exhibitors together from Quest International Users Group, Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG), the Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG). The conference features hundreds of user-led educational sessions based on real-world challenges and solutions across the entire platform of Oracle products including: PeopleSoft; Oracle E-Business Suite; Fusion Applications; Hyperion; Oracle Database, and others. This year’s conference was held in Denver, CO.
Dr. Bailey’s presentation focused on the topic of technology user adoption by employing risk management tools. He stated that with any new technology users require time to adjust to new functions, features, and processes. During this adjustment period, users may revert back to manual processes or create shadow systems. Regardless, poor user adoption and acceptance is a risk to the overall success of a systems project. Dr. Bailey suggested mixing risk management techniques with a change readiness plan to ensure users are engaged, ready, and willing to try the new system. Specifically, Dr. Bailey suggested using the risk management plan outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to identify and mitigate risks associated with user adoption and acceptance. He presented some examples of risks tied to user adoption and mitigating strategies that he has successfully used on projects, which led to a discussion with the session participants regarding their user experiences. Morris Plains, NJ (May 2012) CherryRoad Technologies Inc. is pleased to be recognized as Prime Vendor of Deliverables-Based Information Technology Services (DBITS) through the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and is dedicated to providing exceptional services to all participating State and Local government agencies.
Through the DIR DBITS program, DIR customers may purchase services directly from qualified vendors. Using this contract vehicle, DIR customers may obtain product and pricing information, as well as negotiate directly with CherryRoad.
