Lucas County, Ohio called on CherryRoad to help them effectively manage change. In fact, this was only one of several critical areas we addressed in our Strategic Implementation Plan designed to help the County successfully implement their ERP system and maximize the effectiveness of their limited budget. (Other components included optimization of business processes and implementation requirements as well as best practices concerning the management of time, project scope, quality, and risks.)
CherryRoad’s change management program addressed communications, system and process training, and education to help people overcome their natural resistance to new behaviors. For example, the tactical recommendations included specific ways to maximize the effectiveness of targeted communication materials and forums, including customized training materials, a monthly newsletter, presentations to senior management, and frequent town hall meetings.
With a clear, practical, step-by-step plan in hand, Lucas County officials were well prepared to help the enterprise successfully embrace dramatically new and improved processes and systems.
