CherryRoad Team to Integrate Enterprise Software and Deploy Portal for One of the World’s Largest Transportation Authorities
PARSIPPANY, NJ - August 27, 2004 …CherryRoad Technologies, a full-service systems integrator, today announced that it has been selected to perform a PeopleSoft implementation and business process optimization for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), a public-benefit corporation chartered by the State of New York.
Under the terms of the contract, CherryRoad is leading a team tasked with implementing PeopleSoft® Enterprise Financial Management 8.8 (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Projects, Grants, Global Consolidations, Cash Management and Deal Management); PeopleSoft® Enterprise Performance Management 8.8 (Business Planning and Budgeting); and PeopleSoft® HCM 8.8 (including Human Resources, Payroll for North America, Benefits Administration, Time and Labor, Recruiting Solutions and Pension Administration).
In addition, CherryRoad’s team is performing business process optimization in conjunction with the implementation to enable the MTA to take advantage of best practices that are built into the enterprise software. Last Fall, team members analyzed the MTA’s existing business processes, defined a vision for desired new processes and determined what user requirements need to be met, so that the new enterprise software system ultimately will support those processes.

The MTA is comprised of the headquarters (MTAHQ) and six operating agencies to which MTAHQ provides general oversight, planning, and administration. One of these agencies—MTA Metro-North Railroad—is also conducting a PeopleSoft implementation with CherryRoad Technologies.
